George J. Tischenko, M.D.
Doctor Tischenko began practicing
orthopedic surgery in 1988 after earning his Medical Degree from the
University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completing his
internship and residency at the University of California, San
Francisco. This prepared him for a challenging position as the
Associate Professor of Trauma Orthopedics at Stanford University
Medical Center, where his commitment and compassion inspired both
patients and peers.
Dr. Tischenko applies skill and sensitivity daily to his practice.
His ability to counsel patients in both English and Spanish adds to
the personalized treatment he offers, and his dedication to the
field is evident in the numerous presentations and publications
authored. Personable and family-oriented, Dr. Tischenko is well
respected for his ability to design solid treatment programs that
get results.
Dr. Tischenko currently practices general orthopedic surgery with a
special interest in sports medicine and total joint replacement at
Muir Orthopaedic Specialists. A local resident, he supports the
community by serving as a team physician for St. Mary’s College.
